Today, I had the opportunity to attend the Menicon Orthokeratology (OK Lens) Seminar, where we learned more about the latest advances in myopia management for children and adult .

????️ Did you know?
Myopia (short-sightedness) is becoming increasingly common in children. More importantly, high myopia increases the lifetime risk of serious eye diseases, such as retinal detachment, glaucoma, and myopic macular degeneration.

???? What are Orthokeratology (OK) lenses?
OK lenses are specially designed lenses worn overnight. While your child sleeps, they gently reshape the front surface of the eye, allowing clear vision during the day without glasses or contact lenses.

Research has shown that starting myopia control at an earlier age provides a greater benefit in slowing myopia progression. Early intervention can make a meaningful difference in protecting your child’s vision for the future.

Every child is different, and not everyone is suitable for OK lenses. A comprehensive eye examination is important to determine the most appropriate treatment.
